DISH Network TV offers many different satellite dishes, with one of the most important versions being the DISH 500 satellite dish. DISH Network satellite TV is one of the leaders in the field and their variety of dish designs and versions is what sets them apart from the competition.
They have constantly evolved their technology to gain greater signal capacity, adding the DISH 500 after the DISH 300. The DISH 1000 and the SuperDISH are also popular choices.
The DISH 300
As the DISH Network first started putting together the technology to start their service, the first satellite dish design they had was the DISH 300. This was a simple base model satellite dish.
It was their first satellite antenna simply called the DISH Network dish. The DISH 300 is commonly used by DISH Network satellite TV subscribers with a second dish to get the maximum signal, as the technology has changed and the DISH 300 is now an inferior model to most others on the market.
The DISH 500
The natural evolution of the DISH Network satellite TV service produced the move from the DISH 300 to the DISH 500. As the technology that drove the 300 became outdated, the 500 demonstrated a greater ability to support a wider range of programming needs. When the customer base of DISH Network grew quickly because some of their competition went out of business, the 500 was the perfect answer to the drastic increase.
The DISH 500 is twenty inches across, two inches larger than the DISH 300 and most of the DirecTV dishes that were also on the market at the time. It also had the advantage in that it could gain signals from more than one satellite, allowing access to more channels for DISH network programming. Several DISH network deals came out at this time to capitalize on this technology.
The DISH 1000
The programming of the DISH Network and its customer capacity required more growth than even the DISH 500 satellite units were able to handle. People needed to mount one or more of the dishes on their roof to obtain all of the programming they subscribed to, so the DISH Network came out with another addition to their roster in the DISH 1000.
The DISH 1000 was the first dish for the network that allowed them access to several channels in different languages, thus expanding their market.
It is only a matter of time before we see the popularity of these other DISH systems start to rise. While the versatility of the DISH 500 has helped drive the popularity of their product, the demand for greater flexibility and the ability to package channels into more cohesive groups will make the other DISH products more prominent.
DISH Network satellite TV is leading the way into the next generation of television services and DISH Network deals will continue to greater numbers of consumers into the mix.
